Issues
The issues management solution is used for the documentation, tracking and management of anything that may come up during the life of the project. An issue can be created from a minute of meeting for any agenda or discussion item that required further tracking. it can also be created directly in the issues application. Each issue is linked to an "affected description" if it is relevant to a specific contract line item or you can create a new scope if the issue is entirely new in the contract. Every issue have name and description to fully describe them and once created can be commented upon with user and time captured. They are all linked to the contract through affected description or being a new scope item.
Rapisurv will help document and update contract as appropriate depending on the type of issue. Now, let's talk about issues types and how Rapisurv handles them:
Tracking only issue
This type of issue cannot have time or cost impact, they are for documentation and tracking only, they can be used to keep record of something important and have stakeholders comment on it for the record. When a collaborator is given permission to issues on a project, they can see "tracking only" issues.
Internal only issue
Internal only issues can be used for tracking or documenting a change internally and they can have time or cost impact, the difference here is that it does not impact the contract price and collaborators cannot see this type of issues even with permissions.
Change issue
When an issue is of type "change" it allows users to select impact as "cost", "time" or "both". If the impact is 'cost' the estimated amount of the issue will create a variation certificate to revise the contract sum upon approval. If the impact is time it will provide issues notification in the project schedule and the project schedule manager will have to decide on update the time impact and deleting the notification and taking scheduling steps in the work plan.
Identifiers
For reporting or tracking purpose a user can create issue "Identifiers" in the account and these identifies can be tagged to an issue during creation so that issues can be grouped appropriately.
